About pumpkin
Red pumpkin has sweet, dense orange flesh that turns soft and creamy when cooked. It is used for khatta meetha kaddu (especially with puri), sambar, soups and halwa. We sell cut pieces by weight from large pumpkins, so you do not have to buy a whole one.
The skin is edible when cooked well, or can be peeled off.
How we pick it
We cut from firm, deep orange pumpkins with no soft or watery patches.
How to store it
Wrap cut pieces in cling film or a box and refrigerate; use within 4–5 days.
