About cabbage
A good cabbage feels heavy and dense, with tightly wrapped glossy leaves. Shred it raw for coleslaw and salads, or cook it with peas and spices for a simple everyday sabzi. It is also the main filling for veg momos and spring rolls.
Sold per head; one head serves a family of four for one or two meals.
How we pick it
We choose firm, heavy heads with fresh outer leaves and no splits or yellowing.
How to store it
Keep whole in the fridge in a perforated bag for up to a week. Once cut, wrap tightly and use within 2–3 days.
