About chikoo
Chikoo (sapota) has a brown, slightly rough skin and soft, honey-sweet flesh when ripe. We send fruit that is ripe or will ripen within a day; it should give gently when pressed.
A kilo is usually ten to twelve chikoos.
How we pick it
We pick chikoos with smooth, light-brown skin that yield slightly, and reject wrinkled, cracked or very soft fruit.
How to store it
Ripen at room temperature, then refrigerate and use within 2–3 days.
