About dragon fruit
Dragon fruit (kamalam) has bright pink skin with green tips and white or red flesh speckled with tiny black seeds. The taste is mild and refreshing, a little like kiwi and pear. Indian-grown dragon fruit is in season from monsoon to early winter.

How we pick it
We choose evenly coloured fruit that gives slightly when pressed, with fresh green tips and no dark, mushy patches.
How to store it
Keep at room temperature for 1–2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Cut fruit keeps a day in the fridge.
