About pineapple
A ripe pineapple smells sweet at the base and has a golden colour spreading up from the bottom. It does not get sweeter after it is picked, so we choose fruit that is already ripe.
Sold per piece; each pineapple weighs roughly 1–1.5 kg.
How we pick it
We choose heavy pineapples with a sweet smell at the base, fresh green leaves and no soft or weeping spots.
How to store it
Eat within 1–2 days at room temperature, or refrigerate whole for up to 4 days. Cut pineapple keeps 3 days in a covered box in the fridge.
