About capsicum
Green capsicum has a fresh, mildly bitter flavour and stays crunchy when lightly cooked. Use it in chilli paneer, pav bhaji, veg pulao and pizza toppings, or stuff whole capsicums with spiced potato.
A kilo is usually five to seven medium pieces.
How we pick it
We pick firm, glossy capsicums with thick walls and green stems, and no wrinkles or soft spots.
How to store it
Store unwashed in the fridge vegetable drawer for up to a week. Once cut, keep in a covered box and use within 2 days.
