About tomato
Our tomatoes are a mix of firm salad-ready and fully ripe cooking tomatoes, so you can use some fresh and cook the rest. Ripe tomatoes give curries their colour and tang; firmer ones slice cleanly for salads and sandwiches.

How we pick it
We pick tomatoes with bright, even colour, smooth skin and a little give when pressed, and reject cracked or watery ones.
How to store it
Keep ripe tomatoes at room temperature, stem-side down, and use within 2–3 days. Refrigerate only fully ripe tomatoes you cannot use in time; bring them back to room temperature before eating.
